The Sacred Valley in Peru is incredible, mind-blowing, magical, and simply unmissable. There are so many amazing things to do in the Sacred Valley, also known as “Valle Sagrado de Los Incas”. From grand Inca ruins in sprawling Archaeological Parks, snow-capped mountains, salt mines, and hundreds of hiking trails to explore there is no shortage of breathtaking and worthwhile experiences.
The tour guide will pick you up at your hotel at approximately 7:00 am; then, you will begin the 30-minute drive to Qorao to enjoy panoramic views; after, you will go to Pisac town located in the colonial area Pisac. You will have about 30 minutes to visit the market – we recommend bringing along money to purchase unique, handmade souvenirs and gifts. After visiting the market, the bus will get you up the hills above the town of Pisac to visit the famous archaeological site.
You can buy your tourist ticket there that you will need for the rest of the day.
After the guided tour finish in Pisac, your group will continue the journey through the Sacred Valley; the next stop is for lunch in the town of Urubamba. After lunch, the journey continues along the valley to Ollantaytambo, founded by the Inca Ollantay on the banks of the Urubamba River. Ollantaytambo is a fort built into the mountain with Andean terraces and a traditional town. At the top of the ruins, you will find the Sun Temple, constructed of large blocks that have remained intact for centuries despite the effects of time and weather. It is possible to stay in Ollantaytambo to take the train directly to Aguas Calientes and spend the night there to visit Machu Picchu the following day, ask us about our “Sacred Machu Picchu” 2 days by train to Machu Picchu tour!
Chinchero Excursion in that can fit your possible plan.
From Ollantaytambo, the bus goes back through Urubamba, and then it climbs and leaves the valley towards the highlands, where it makes one last stop in the town of Chinchero.
Chinchero is famous for renowned handmade textiles and weavings. After visiting part of the town and market, you will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 pm.
